WHAT IS WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENT?
Wrinkle reduction treatment (commonly known as Botox) relaxes facial muscles by interacting with nerve endings to stop the release of the compound that triggers muscle contractions. This results in the softening of fine lines and wrinkles. It is common that more than one area will require treatment to optimise outcomes and this can be done in a single treatment appointment.Dr Burgess appreciates the importance of an individuals preferences and will work with you to create a bespoke plan for you.
HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results take up to 14 days to reach their maximum effect. Dr Burgess will be available to review any concerns following treatment.
WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENT?
Wrinkle reduction treatment is very versatile and can be used to treat forehead wrinkles and furrows, crow’s feet, tear troughs, dropping nasal tips and lines around the mouth. The most popular sites for treatment are the forehead and around the eyes.
DOES IT HURT?
Discomfort is very minor during treatment. You may notice tiny raised blebs afterwards but these resolve within minutes.
HOW MUCH IS WRINKLE REDUCTION TREATMENT
Prices for Wrinkle reduction treatments start at £200. Most clients will require more than one area treated to attain optimal results (2-4 areas). To secure a consultation with Dr. Burgess you need to provide a deposit of £50, this will then be offset against the price of the treatment.
AZZALURE
Dr Burgess’s Botox treatment of choice is Azzalure (Botulinum Toxin Type-A). This is a high quality product with an excellent safety profile resulting in superb aesthetic results.
Injectable Bio-remodellers
Profhilo and Seventy Hyal are injectable treatments containing high concentrations of hyaluronic acid (HA). They are useful for people with skin that lacks volume and elasticity. Rather than just plumping and filling wrinkles, the slow release of HA stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. In turn this improves skin tone, hydration and appearance of fine lines. HA is hydrophilic ( draws water in), so acts as a hydrator rather than a filler. Over a number of weeks the skin becomes firmer and more luminous. Maximal effect is seen after 2 months. Profhilo is given as two injections 4 weeks apart and Seventy Hyal is given as 2 or sometimes more injections 2 weeks apart.
